THE THREE PILLARS OF OUR APPROACH
1
NEUROBIOLOGY
& REGULATION
We work with physiological arousal states, not just conversation. Our therapists understand how the brain and nervous system impact connection, intimacy, and conflict. We use Gottman Assessment tools, PACT arousal regulation techniques, and somatic interventions. Our training is unique, we work with physiological arousal states to modulate connection using tools and technology to help. We incorporate other nervous system regulating tools to get you further faster. Our work is deeply experiential. We understand the brain and how it provides a physiological basis for how people act and react within relationships that move us to (and away from) intimacy. We work with individuals and couples on moment-to-moment ability to manage one’s energy, awareness, and engagement. We use only the gold standard, researched and proven methods. Result: Faster progress, deeper change, sustained results.
2
STRUCTURE
& ASSESSMENT
We don't just listen—we assess, diagnose, and intervene. Our sophisticated relationship assessments give us a complete picture of your dynamics. You receive comprehensive evaluation, personalized treatment roadmap, active guidance and skill teaching, real-time pattern interruption, clear milestones. Our process involves the sophisticated Gottman and PACT Relationship Assessments. These research-based tools give us a full picture of your relationship. It highlights not only the struggles you’re facing but also the strengths that can carry you forward. We are direct, experienced and know when to intervene, redirect, balance and restructure power dynamics and old stuck cycles. From there, we work deliberately creating a personalized plan designed specifically for you and your partner and one that honors your story, addresses your unique challenges, and helps you find your way back to connection, trust, and/or clarity on how to move forward. Result: You know where you are, where you're going, and how to get there.
3
POSITIVE GAINS & MEANING
Therapy is about fixing problems and also about building joy, intimacy, and shared meaning. We teach conflict resolution that brings you closer, rituals of connection, sexual intimacy and desire, shared dreams and purpose, friendship and fondness. At Union Station, we believe relationships require work but they’re also about joy, connection, and rediscovering love. While we help you navigate challenges and heal old wounds, we also focus on laughter, shared experiences, and cultivating intimacy. Using the latest research and proven strategies, we guide you in connecting deeply, playing together, and loving intentionally, so you can become the experts in your own relationship. We see couples master their relationships with both themselves and others, and we believe you can too.
